Lecture Recordings
Lecture recordings are only available for IDS students via the University of Edinburgh virtual learning environment. To access the recordings, go to the Introduction to Data Science area on LEARN ULTRA and select Lecture Recordings under the Course Content section. This will open echovideo where you will find a list of all lecture recordings to watch once they become available.
Some of this material is required and some of it is optional. We expect you to watch the required videos and read the required reading. This required material is part of the course so it may be assessed in the assignments and it may not be covered in the lectures. The optional material is extra reading for those that are interested!

In this week's workshop you will begin on your group projects. This will be the first exploration stage for the project start. It is crucial to finalize the your groups during this week's workshop.
Regarding the project details, you will find all the information that you need about the group projects from HERE.

To work on the project collaboratively, you can find the project repo from that, RepositoryFor checking the group you joined so far, please see the details from below link and let us know if you see any issues about the allocation. If you have not joined any group so far, please talk with your tutor and find some peers to work together during the workshop session. We will create new groups based on these updates that we have.

In week 7, you will have the first 'check-in' discussion with a tutor. As such, it is highly recommended that you arrange a group meeting before the next workshop to discuss your data, perform some preliminary investigations and to think of a problem statement.
Below there is optional initial data viz exercises that you can explore, after project kick-off. You can work on those after the workshop still as extra exercise questions.
